08/06/09
UES staff volunteered for one day to help a local school encourage outdoor activity.
All available members of the UES workforce participated in Britain's ‘Give and Gain' day, Business in the Community's annual employee volunteering event.
Employees gave their blood, sweat and tears to create a nature garden at the Gaer Junior School in Newport. The purpose of garden is to encourage outdoor activity as part of the Forest School programme.
Andrew Padmore, Managing Director, UES stated:
"UES has supported Give & Gain Day wholehearted. We as a business are dedicated to supporting the communities in which we live and work. We take great pleasure in engaging in activities that enable us to give something back to and make the communities in which we live, a better place."
