Interesting results from UES customer survey
26/01/10
UES has found in an independent customer survey that 35% of customers were concerned with escalating energy prices, but only 5.7% stated green issues were a concern (such as global warming and reducing carbon footprint).
The telephone survey included over 100 customers of the gas, electricity, water, waste, telecoms and IT services that UES provide. These companies span the UK and range from single site SMEs to national multi-site operations in various sectors including manufacturing, charities and the food industry.
Andrew Padmore, UES Managing Director, commented: "It is our experience that customers are concerned with snowballing energy prices especially in this difficult economic climate (indeed the energy regulator, Ofgem predicts energy prices could increase by up to 60% over the next four years). So it is not surprising that our customers are attracted by the cost reductions we provide. Even though our services often deliver energy reductions as well as cost savings, this environmental impact reduction is viewed as an added bonus, rather than the key driver of customer buying decisions".
This survey also delivered a 90% customer satisfaction rating from UES customers. To find out how UES can help your company reduce utility costs click here, call 0845 055 6311 or email info@uesolutions.co.uk.
